Teen Application Process

Teens who are interested in applying to SYI must meet the
following criteria:

• 14-18 years old
• Currently in the 9th-12th grades
• Currently reside in and attend school in Genesee County.
  This includes attending public, private, charter, alternative,
  and home school in Genesee County.
• Complete TeenQuest pre-employment leadership training.

Teens who have never applied to SYI or who have applied and were not selected for employment must attend and successfully complete the TeenQuest Pre-Employment Leadership Training.

Teens are responsible for completing and submitting their application to SYI. While parents and other adults may assist in completing the form, we strongly recommend that they do not complete it for the applicant. This is
an important part of the process for getting a job now and in the future.
